The Sharp G.726 codec is an audio codec used primarily for voice communication.
Another in a long string of adaptive differential pulse code modulation (ADPCM) codecs, the G.726 facilitates encodings of audio frequencies up to 4 KHz, and is primarily used for voice. It offers bandwidth flexibility with 16, 24, 32 and 40 Kbps data rates.
